Varieties / Blend: 100% Blaufränkisch
Region: Jois Leithaberg, Burgenland
Climate: On the western side of Lake Neusiedl, the Leithaberg mountain  offer sthe ideal climate for the Blaufränkisch grape. Hot summer days with much cooler nights than the flat eastern side of lake Neusiedl.
Soil: Limestone, slate, quartzite
Vineyards: The vineyards are located in the Leithaberg region, west of the Neusiedlersee, the last Foothills of the Alps, at sea level 150-­?200m. Age of vines: 5­?25 years.
Vinification: Biodynamic methods, member of RESPECT.
Maceration time: 3 weeks, spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, aged 12 months in 500 liter used Austrian oak (5 years old) No filtration, no fining, low sulfur, no chaptalization.Bottling November 17th, 2014
Alcohol: 12,5 % vol
Total acidity: 5,4 g/l
Residual sugars: 1,0 g/l
Serving temperatur: 17 °C
Bottles produced: 11.300 à 0,75 l
Maturity: At least 10 years
Food: Great food wine, poultry, pork, venision, beef, lamb, game birds, dark mushrooms

Tasting Notes:

Ruby red, delicate fruit, hints of berry and cherry, with beautifully balanced acidity , full and minerally on the palate, lively and exciting, long finish
