Region: Jois Leithaberg, Burgenland
Climate: On the western side of Lake Neusiedl, the Leithaberg mountain  offers 
the ideal climate for the Blaufränkisch grape. Hot summer days with much
cooler nights  than the flat eastern side of lake Neusiedl
Soil: Limestone
Vineyards: The vineyards are located in the Leithaberg region, west of the Neusiedlersee, The last foothills of the Alps, at sea level 150-­200m.
Vinification: Biodynamic methods, member of RESPECT
Maceration time 3 weeks, spontaneous fermentation in stainless, aged 18
months in 500 liter used Austrian oak (3 years old)
No filtration, no fining, low sulfur, no chaptalization. Bottling: July15th 2015
Alcohol: 13,0 % vol
Total acidity: 5.3 g/l
Residual sugars: 1.0 g/l
Serving Temperature: 16-18 °C
Bottles produced: 2000 a 0,75 l

Food: Game, beef, lamb, duck, pork, chicken, dark mushrooms

Tasting Notes:

Dark ruby red, elegant and complex, lush concentrated dark cherry and berry fruit balanced with piquant acidity and minerality, long, layered finish
